June: Fast Mount, First House!

Image
It seems the West is way more populated than East, which is not a surprise listening to how toxic East Nation chat is. The peaceful housing zone at the back of Haranya, Rokhala, is gorgeous. Where Ahnimar was green & pink, Rokhala is blue & white. And there are stone piles everywhere. Wandering around, I searched for a path up to the highest mountain top & found a space, right near facilities, up top. I had Kadoyama on the phone deliberating... I wanted a Villa (28x28) but it didn't look to me like it would fit & I only had 400 Gilda. So I spent 300 Gilda on a Manor (24x24). Jemanni was on & she came to keep me company & even logged alts on to help with the brick & lumber processing. I went for the Stone Slate Manor & I'm pretty happy with how it looks. I also finally earned enough Diligence coins to buy a fast mount. I'd assumed I would get a kitsu, but I liked the Emberpaw Panther. It was gorgeous, but even more gorgeous with the armor. Lem...

ArcheAge Unchained: I got a guild!

I was trotting a trade pack out of Marianople on my donkey when a dwarf named Sammwize offered me a lift on her skateboard. I had actually just decided I didn't want to base myself in White Arden any more, & was taking the trade pack to the farthest trade post thinking I would look at different neighborhoods along the way. She asked if I was doing a certain line of quests that earn credits (as opposed to gold or Diligence Coins) & I had no idea what that was, so she explained. I'm still a little fuzzy. This game is so complicated.

ArcheAge Unchained, so confusing

I started playing ArcheAge Unchained in February 2021. Initially I rolled a Warborn of the Haranya (East) faction, because the whole demonic thing was appealing. However, it was kind of disappointing from the start. First (& maybe most importantly), after I spent half an hour designing my character's looks, once ingame she didn't look anything like my efforts. I ended up deleting, for which ArcheAge makes you wait, depending on the character's level, & doing it over, trying to compensate for the ingame changes. In the end I was just "fuck it, it's not like I ever actually look at her face anyway." The Warborn tutorial is apparently in a completely different physical form (kind of like the Daeva lost memories in Aion) with WoW Death Knight type skills (you could just hit the keyboard with your forehead & whatever attacks you hit would kill everything around you). Once I started questing for real, the world was somewhat bleak & the NPCs were rude...
